Hi All , i'm curious - Why does my E5 make a slightly dull click when it locks focus and at other times it doesn't ? Any suggestions. Thanks, Adam.

Is this when using SWD lenses? It's a trait of the ultrasonic ring motor system.

Thanks for your reply Ian, yes it is an swd 12-60, I assume that once the focus square goes red then focus is achieved. Adam

No, I don't think so. I don't have an E-5 in front of me, but I think the red AF point only flashes to indicate which point or points are active. Focus is confirmed by a beep and or a green dot lighting up in the viewfinder.
