Bee, Wasp, fly thing?

I expect my neighbours sometimes wonder why I seem so intent on staring at the Budlia tree in our garden.

Followed this chap around for about 5 minutes before he disappeared into the depths of the tree.

This is a "cuckoo" Bee of the genus nomada. As there are a lot of species I can't find out which one I'm afraid.

After a couple of hours digging apparently it is a Figwort Sawfly otherwise known as Tenthredo scrophulariae
Every days a school day. Not seen one before but then again never looked.

It has been on the Budlia all day.
