HELP info about 4/3 Adapter

Hi Guys, Can you help? I have a customer with a Panasonic GH1 who wants to buy an Olympus 9-18mm (4/3 fit) lens. What adapter would he need? Regards Ian.

Re: HELP info about 4/3 Adapter

Hi Ian

In Olympus terms he'll need an MMF-1 or MMF-2.

Panasonic do their own version, which of course is identical, but I'm unsure of the model number.

UPDATE: DMW-MA1 is Panasonic's version.

The alternative is to buy the dedicated Olympus m4/3 9-18 lens.

Thanks Stephen, so the micro fit direct to the GH1? I will check out the MMF1 & 2 see the difference. Thanks. Ian.

Yes, the m4/3 version of the 9-18 will fit on all m4/3 bodies, of which the GH1 is one.

The difference in the MMF-1 and MMF-2 is that the MMF-1 is silver and a couple of grams heavier than the MMF-2, which is black. I'm not certain, but I think the MMF-1 is now discontinued and therefore a collectors item ;-)
