A Walk In Shut Wood (6 images)
We moved here at the end of 2000, fully inytending to go for long walks and explore the countryside once we had settlwed down./ Alas, Foot & Mouth put paid to early exploration and the impetus died. Only now have I discovered that we have a nature reserve within walking distance.
As this was a walk to suss the reserve out, I only took my compact with me. The light today was magical, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable walk. I also found the most wonderful romantic house for sale, trouble is, I'd need 1.6 million. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There's something particularly magical about the trees in this last shot, something which I failed to capture; a feeling of ancientness, of old Wildwood and enchantments. Not bad for a compact, though, really. I don't think, with my level of skill, having the DSLR with me would have gained me anything. (Except the macro shots.) |

Lovely woods to walk through and enjoy, look forward to more as the year progresses.

Nice set Linda, looks like spring is bursting forth. Bet you visit that wood regularly from now on.
