Features for firmware update??

Slightly disappointed that Olympus haven't been adding functionality with regular firmware updates as they did with the original E-M1.

Two things I'd like to see are:

1. Better control over multi-exposure (inc. more frames and blend modes).

2. Allow Wifi connection to a WAP/router and enabling wireless tethering. I've been playing with a few Panasonic cameras and even some from a couple of years or more ago offer this function in addition to the remote control from a phone offered by Olympus.

Re: Features for firmware update??

In so far as wireless tethering is concerned and as someone who has not used it, is there not a problem with the time taken to wirelessly upload the image from camera to PC? Even with very fast routers I would think uploading a RAW file from camera to PC would take about 15-30 secs. JPEG's would be shorter of course.

Re: Features for firmware update??

The Panasonic implementation seems to have little problem with sending raw files with little lag. A quick calculation indicates that a 20MB image should only take about 4 seconds at 54Mbps which is conservative for modern wireless connections. In a modern multi-core CPU camera, this should be handled as a background task anyway, leaving the camera fully operational.
