Red Wattlebird

For some unknown reason the usual gathering of birds along the creek
seemed to have mostly disappeared this morning. It was rather later than my usual walk,
and the sun was blazing hot, perhaps that’s why the birds weren’t out foraging, except for one Red Wattlebird

Re: Red Wattlebird

Thanks Larry, yes, the top one struck a nice pose, didn't he.

The middle one is a bit tacky, I binned it from my files.

My favourite is the bif, not for IQ but because it was the hardest to get.

I like the middle one best! It shows the wattles well and has a good pose.

Thanks Jim; as you like #2 best, maybe I should un-bin it! What I don't like is the 6 o'clock angle of its head.

Re: Red Wattlebird

I agree with Jim, the second one shows how the bird got its name. Nice shots Mark.

Now you see why I delete absolutely none of my photographs. Storage is cheap these days.

Analogy:
A neighbour next door kept bringing home "stuff" (just any old thing, trailer load after trailer load) ADHD bigtime. His place is so crammed full of it that I am told he sleeps on top of a pile of junk, his wife sleeps on the edge of a King size bed because the rest of it is loaded with stuff to the ceiling. Access to his yard by the backdoor is blocked by more stuff and is never used. He is a chronic hoarder who lives on takeaways, his wife and he are morbidly obese. That's why I run a tight ship, both inside and outside the computer. I keep only my best images, and I've furnished my place tastefully along minimalist lines.
