Re: Is it easier or harder to take photos now

Quite a few points that I often talk about with people at the various photographic clubs that I visit.

The huge advantage of the immediacy of digital photography has for the majority made it much easier. However in the past we would spend a lot more time on composition and study the subject in the viewfinder, looking for the distractions that are now far more often removed in post processing.

The opening paragraph says a lot... "What filters are you using..."

'Oh, just a UV'

Lol, what filters are you using, JHC!

Re: Is it easier or harder to take photos now

When I use digital I can easily shoot 60 - 100 images in a day. With film I'm struggling to finish a roll of 36 in a month, and I'm supposed to be doing a road test on my M6 that has recently had a 10,000 mile oil and filter change.

The delta: most of the 60 - 100 go strait to the recycle bin; most if not all of the 36 (when I eventually finish the roll) are keepers, for the reasons you mention.
