Re: Lexar UHS-II 2000x issues with EM-1 II

My replacement is a mere Rev C. BUT we have established that this isn't significant - apparently the only way they know if it's the new version is to do a firmware check at the factory.

I haven't had any problems with the RAW files since then and there should be no discrimination between RAW or any other kind of files - data is data. I'm not denying there is a problem, just reflecting on my fortune

My replacement has rev c at the end of the product code so I'm not sure whether that means a revision?

They swopped my faulty card very quickly and none of my photos so far have had an error again. Crossed fingers.

I'm afraid (and as I said above) the Rev number is NOT an indication of suitability or up-to-dateness. Apparently the only to be sure is to do the swap with Lexar, which is free.

Re: Lexar UHS-II 2000x issues with EM-1 II

I have had no problems with my Lexar 32GB Pro 2000x UHSII card so far.

Just checked the box and it says Rev A so maybe its a specific Rev that has an issue.

Hope I might be one of the lucky ones.

Re: Lexar UHS-II 2000x issues with EM-1 II

I don't have a mkii yet, but I do have a couple of "Lexar Professional 64 GB Class 10 UHS-II 1000x Speed (150 MB/s) SDXC Flash Memory Card" that I got from Amazon a few months ago on special offer. Some people on forums have (allegedly) had problems with 1000x cards, including with the Nikon D500, I note.

I thought I should investigate prospectively, so I checked with Lexar UK support and promptly received this message:

"...The reported issue was only for 2000x cards with Olympus OMD E-M1 Mkii camera. However there is no reported issue for 1000x cards with the same camera.

If you have issue with your card, we can replace it for you. To do this, we need the following details:

-Exact and Detailed issues with the product
- Product type: SD card
- Product Speed: 1000x
- Product size/density: 64GB
- Part number:
- Name: Mark Farrington
- Street Address:
- Address 2:
- Address3:
- County:
- City:
- Post code:
- Country:
- Phone number:

As soon as we have these details, we will set up an exchange for you.

Please let us know if we can offer additional assistance or advice."

I've saved the email, but it seems reasonable to hang on to them.
