Exclamation OM-1 miniatures!

Some of you may remember a long time ago that we gave away a good number of O-M1 miniatures.

**** Please note, I only have black OM-1 miniatures, not the silver version below. Otherwise they are the same, with the two lenses. ****

Here's the description from February 2012:

To celebrate the launch of the digital OM or OM-D E-M5 Olympus has produced a commemorative miniature of an OM-1 with two lenses that actually fit the OM body. This is what they look like and you can see from the last photo how small these models are:

The presentation box comes with an OM-1 body and two lenses and these are not made for sale.

After a bit of a clear out I have found a whole box of them

As part of our ongoing funding appeal, I'd like to offer these to e-group members. Here's the plan:
[LIST][*]Purchase an OM-1 miniature for 10 including P&P - you must be a registered member of the e-group.
[*]Anyone who has already donated to the appeal fund up to 26th July can claim an OM-1 miniature for the cost of P&P only (1).

The miniatures will be posted Royal Mail Second Class. Until initial requests are satisfied and only if there are any left over, it's first come first served and only one miniature per member, please.

I'm happy to post miniatures overseas but I'd need to calculate the extra cost of postage to charge.

The sales will be handled by the company (The Write Technology Ltd) and so will be independent of the T&Cs and Privacy Policy of the e-group website. The company will of course honour your privacy and personal details.

If you are interested, please email me via ian.burley (at) e-group.uk.net

Thanks,

Ian

PS The offer applies to e-group members who registered up to 26th July 2018. If you are not a member, you can purchase a miniature for 20 including UK postage. Members who joined after 26th July 2018 can purchase a miniature for 15 including UK postage. New members posting a minimum of ten meaningful forum messages will qualify for the same offer as other members.

Re: OM-1 miniatures!

That is a good idea Ian. I don't need one as I found mine up the other day and a very cute little item it is too. It's something that no self respecting OM user should be without. Hopefully it will help to generate a bit of cash for the forum.

Re: OM-1 miniatures!

Haha - well thank you for all the excitement! Can I just ask for everyone to hold on until tomorrow. It appears the box has been put back in storage and I just want to double-check that these are the OM-1s pictured. I have just realised they might be E-M1s, but I will check and get back to you all tomorrow morning.

Sorry for this complication!

Ian

Re: OM-1 miniatures!

Good morning everyone; I can confirm that the miniatures are OM-1s, but they are black, not silver as pictured earlier. They have the interchangeable lenses. I will post a photo shortly
