Re: My E-30 Photos

I really like the first two. The girl jumping and the grass in that shot are all beautifully sharp. The waterfall has potential, but the top of the fall is quite badly burned out. I think the dynamic range required is simply too much - probably for any camera. This would be a good candidate for HDR.

I'd be interested to know if the shadows are already boosted? Was the camera meter relied on or did you try to under-expose to save some of the brighter areas?

Ina

Re: My E-30 Photos

Thanks for the comments guys, its great to hear from someone elses view so I can learn by it.

yes I slightly underexposed to get the best range I could, the black and white waterfall was converted to black from colour in photoshop and the red and yellow sliders was pushed back to give a deeper black.

I wish I did shoot in raw, was silly not to do that, but gives me a excuse to visit the location and try again

I must say the e-30 is a cracking camera, its such a pleasure to use.
