The author, Robert K. Baggs dead pan portraits apparently were shot in a waxworks. They say nothing about his subjects. He's obviously not a photo journalist. Did he train as a police photographer?

Some good points there, particularly regarding gear obsession, although I reckon most go through that at some stage before we get the bigger picture.
Ironic then, to judge by the author's web site, that he spends such a lot of time photographing some truly hideous watches.
