Thanks for your comments. For every second of film allow 20-25 images, so for a clip 260 seconds long that is approximately 5000+ images (used jpeg, though raw is recommended).

The E3 was sitting in the cupboard gathering dust so i will use for TL till nature takes its course and its fails.

Lovely, but I was hoping that the waves would roll in at the end to complete the scene. Just confirms my theory that the sea never comes in at Holkham at least I've never been there when it does!

I spent two days there btn 11am & 5pm but the tide was due after dark ie 9pm so a return trip is needed to bring it all together. I suppose the tide going out at sunrise would be to much to ask for. That's an early start. Mmm where that tide timetable?
