New forum area: Tutorials, Informative and Classic threads

Hi everyone

We thought it was about time that e-Group had a specific forum for all the wonderful tutorials and informative threads that have been placed on here over the last few years. I know from experience, that I have on many occasions - resorted to the search facility to help find that particular post or thread etc... so to help with this we have created a new area called...

Tutorials, Informative and Classic threads

Over time, we will move some of these threads into this area so that they are easily located when the time comes that you need that reminder about something.

If you know of any threads that should be moved into here - please let one of the team know, and we'll move it across. I am sure that over time, this area will build into an extremely valuable resource for everyone here.

Also - if you find yourself wishing there was a tutorial that showed you how to do this and that, please do feel free to ask in here as I am sure there's a member who would be willing to lend a hand and help.

So... it may be a little sparsely populated at the moment, but we'll soon get content in here.

Ta

Wish it was... I have helped behind the scenes here for many years and wouldn't ever stop doing this, I enjoy it a lot. Just no foto-mojo! Haven't been out with my camera for a few months now... not even taken any shots of Heather at her games...

Brilliant idea I was only reading Oly Pauls thread this morning and thinking what a valuable resource it was. Now it's dead easy to find.
If you can find Pete's (Snaarman) thread on photoshop tips you could add that in here too.

For Classic threads how about some of the humourous threads from over the years.

The magazine covers, worst portrait and worst landscape photo are the ones I remember.

Hi David - sounds good. I can add a prefix for 'Classic' but can you see if you can find the ones you are referring to please and post the links here. i can then move them across.

Re: New forum area: Tutorials, Informative and Classic threads

There was at least one thread showing examples of selective focus/limited DOF. It may be worth moving one or more over. I'll see if I can find one tonight.

Just found the one I was thinking of;
