A funny thing happened on the way to the photograph

Took a few shots and the screen went black and the message "Please check status of lens" popped up in big white letters! New one to me. I checked, the 12-100mm was still attached to the EM1 MK2 and the message disappeared! Anyone else seen this?

Yep - Can't remember exactly how I cleared it but think I turned off, took the lens off, put it back, 'rebooted' and told the message to go away

The message you saw is mentioned as the last item on page 164 of the E-M1 Mkii User Manual (together with the recommended corrective action).
