Rye Meade RSPB? Lovely shot of the Bittern. I managed some great shots of the breeding kingfishers (April 2016) this is a nice nature reserve?

Yes, Rye Meade, my mistake.
Last year, there was a small group from Hamps, who had been there from the early hours. If it was you, we might have met, briefly. One of the ladies was catnapping

Here are a few from yesterday lunchtime at Manchester Airport. I went there to try out C-AF. The planes were landing from the west and the position of the viewing park isn't great for these situations -especially with the low winter sunlight.

C-AF is a vast improvement compared with the mk1 - recovering very swiftly on occasions when it lost lock. I got the impression that AF isn't quite so accurate when the subject is moving away from the camera - though it still performed well.

All taken with 40-150 Pro + MC-14 at f4.5 and 1/1250.
The Exp-Comp facility when using Manual mode with ISO-Auto is very handy.

Thanks for the aircraft pictures - they all look great to me!
Given the great deal of interest in the Mark II's C-AF capabilities, is there any chance you could provide some further details of your settings?
Particularly interested in fps, C-Af Lock setting and AF target mode.

As the sun still refuses to show, I tried something silly. An 85 shot high res macro stack. I managed to stack 29 of the shots in Photoshop, I used the OOC Jpegs a total of 648 mb. It did a reasonable job of stacking, but I had left the iso at 800 so that did not help with the final quality. The f-stop set to 8, the min available in that mode. I lost some pixels due to alignment cropping. Oly 60mm macro lens.
