Rye Meade RSPB? Lovely shot of the Bittern. I managed some great shots of the breeding kingfishers (April 2016) this is a nice nature reserve?
Kind regards mike

Yes, Rye Meade, my mistake.
Last year, there was a small group from Hamps, who had been there from the early hours. If it was you, we might have met, briefly. One of the ladies was catnapping

Tried this in high res setting but couldn't get it right. Probably my crappy old tripod.

But you're probably right.

Re: Request to Mk2 Owners club

Here are a few from yesterday lunchtime at Manchester Airport. I went there to try out C-AF. The planes were landing from the west and the position of the viewing park isn't great for these situations -especially with the low winter sunlight.

C-AF is a vast improvement compared with the mk1 - recovering very swiftly on occasions when it lost lock. I got the impression that AF isn't quite so accurate when the subject is moving away from the camera - though it still performed well.

#1 Flybe Bombardier Dash-8 leaving Manchester Airport

#2 Air Hamburg Embraer Legacy-650 landing at Manchester Airport

#3 Flybe Bombardier leaving Manchester Airport - with Jodrell Bank in the background

#4 Thomson Boeing 737-800 at Manchester Airport

All taken with 40-150 Pro + MC-14 at f4.5 and 1/1250.
The Exp-Comp facility when using Manual mode with ISO-Auto is very handy.

Re: Request to Mk2 Owners club

Hi Chris

Thanks for the aircraft pictures - they all look great to me!
Given the great deal of interest in the Mark II's C-AF capabilities, is there any chance you could provide some further details of your settings?
Particularly interested in fps, C-Af Lock setting and AF target mode.
Many thanks
Graham

Re: Request to Mk2 Owners club

As the sun still refuses to show, I tried something silly. An 85 shot high res macro stack. I managed to stack 29 of the shots in Photoshop, I used the OOC Jpegs a total of 648 mb. It did a reasonable job of stacking, but I had left the iso at 800 so that did not help with the final quality. The f-stop set to 8, the min available in that mode. I lost some pixels due to alignment cropping. Oly 60mm macro lens.
