Request to Mk2 Owners club

We seem to have quite a few Mk2 bodies on board but there have not been many shots posted.

Feel free to post your shots in this thread.[emoji120]

The more the merrier. I'm hoping to borrow one sometime in the next couple of weeks. Can't afford it just yet.

Re: Request to Mk2 Owners club

These may be too many but they are my best so far.

These were taken on Christmas Day, 12-100mm pro at f4, and essentially "grab" shots.

For this they were inside a play tent, and auto ISO set it at 6,400 and the noise is far less than the mark I. I would never have got this with my E-M1 I, and I love the picture of them both so for that alone I'm super pleased!

And these were taken on Boxing Day with the 40-150mm pro + 1.4 MC-14 using either C-AF or pro capture.

The long-tailed tit, swans and robin were taken with the camera on C-AF setting.

You did say the more the merrier! Sorry if this is too many!

Re: Request to Mk2 Owners club

This set was taken a few days ago -

As I set off on my usual canal walk I thought the day was going to be a disaster, it was very cold and the towpath was very icy, coupled with misty/foggy conditions I almost returned home.
The first part of the water in the canal was running fairly freely, but just beyond bridge 139 the canal was frozen over.
This was a help as I realised the kingfishers would be restricted to little open water to fish in. Although this was welcome the pictures show it didnít help the photographer as the perches were in twigs etc. This is shown in the cropping.
Although I walked just over five miles with ears and fingers frozen, I did however return with a smile on my face.

I hope you enjoy this mini series.

Misty and Icy

Kingfisher 3rd encounter

Kingfisher 4th encounter

All taken with Olympus OM D EM 1 mk2 + Olympus 40-150 lens with MC 14 converter in A.mode etc

Interesting facts concerning the life of the kingfisher:

Happy 2017 to all

This was EM1 MK2, ISO 800, heart shutter low, 300mmf4 @5.6 and managed a 1/40th sec. This is a 10mp crop resized.
