Through the glass.

Generous feeding with Sunflower hearts in this snowy weather has resulted in our garden absolutely heaving with birds. All taken through double-glazing with reflections.

Male Chaffinch:

Male Greenfinch:

Goldfinch, at some distance:

Coal Tit - the only bird to prefer the nuts, heavy crop:

My favourite, the Song Thrush in a "classic" pose (having just "Baptised" Romeo):

Re: Through the glass.

David those are stunning taken through double glazing. No 3 looks almost to be in 3D. You really get some nice shots with that 50-200.

Re: Through the glass.

Thanks all for your kind comments. Yes the 50-200mm + EC14 seems to be a good combination and compares very favourably with the ED 300mm f2.8. On this matter I will be doing a comparison study soon. Incidently the Thrush was not taken with this combo but with the E30 and Leica 14-150mm.

Regards

David
