mid Sept in the Lake District ...
... for a late holiday.
Any suggestions for photo opportunities? I'm interested in landscape and wildlife so expecting loads of possibilities. |

Re: mid Sept in the Lake District ...
Ambleside is nice and central. So, Stock Ghyll waterfall is an easy walk from the town centre. Tarn Hows is out towards Coniston but is very attractive. A short drive will take you to Grasmere. The walk around Grasmere and Rydal Water is easy and has plenty of photographic potential. Try Alcock Tarn or Sour Milk Ghyll from Grasmere as well. It's quite secluded and well situated.
You almost can't go wrong in the lakes, in my opinion. It's a lovely place. I'm hoping to get up that way myself in the next couple of weeks, before the clocks go back anyway. Hope that this helps. Lee. PS: The weather is always variable.... |

Photography, it seems, mainly has to be quick and opportunistic, so as not to bore one's dearest. :-)

We had a train excursion to Glasgow on Tuesday which was supposed to be 2 days and one night,, but as Ali struck and all trains and buses were cancelled we had to stay another night. Great city. I'll try and share some photos when I get back |
