It certainly is working OK on my W7 PC.
I agree however i left my pc a fair while without a certain security release and if i click on windows update it goes ound in circles left for an hr not finding the update required. There is no sogn of it on microsoft website. If you google windows 7 updater freezing i have not found a work around so i cant update lightroom either.

Search for Windows 7 roll up, I had a similar problem but managed to install the roll up package and all works well now.

Suggest you look at this and follow the instructions:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...0-7f5096b36d0c

It resolved the problem I had with Windows Update taking hours to find new fixes.
Hope this helps

Actually now it's been around a year or two and a lot of the bugs ironed out I quite like Windows 10. I wouldn't go back to 7 now.

Re: Adobe price increase

Cheers Ian and Chris I will have a gander over the next few days, incidentally I'm on a version of lightroom pretty option of hardware acceleration in 4k not had chance to see if it runs smoother than the one up from it which I previously had.

Richard thanks for the positive experience nice to hear someone actually liking win 10 :-), hope you are right and in the future people move over but for now I'm going to continue with win 7 as my motherboard chipset drivers were not available for win 10 last time i checked along with other kit i use.

Out of curiosity is lightroom running smoother these days editing in 4k?

Yep, got that email too - and my renewal date is in March so I get hit with the increase straightway

It made me think about how much I use it and whether I value it.
I use Lightroom and the mobile app quite a lot, but very rarely use photoshop.
I thought about getting a standalone Lightroom license, but was then worried that I would miss out on some fancy new feature that they might introduce!

So, I've decided to keep the CC subscription but instead of paying monthly at 10.10, I've bought a 12 month upfront pack from Amazon (currently 85.42) which equals ~7.11 a month. Cheaper than I'm paying now!

Cheers,

Pete.
