Unfortunately I couldn't get too close with my EPL-1 + 50mm f2 combo.

OK, here is my sole effort. Not the lens cloth model but to one with the 'get too close and my bra will take your eye out' model

Funny, but that does seem to be the look she was giving you.

Nice shot of her all the same.

I've got the final Aussie price through their little forum ($599) but it's not known anywhere else yet, however a Sydney supplier said he'll be selling it at 15% off R.R., so should be a good buy. You've probably said this before, but is (or would you say) the M75-300 sharper at 300mm than the ZD70-300 lens?

I see what you mean about the bra, but I think it's a risk worth taking!

The 75-300 Mark 2 is substantially cheaper than the original version, which must be excellent news assuming that the optical performance is unchanged. The 75-300 is a significantly better performer than the Four Thirds 70-300, although the 70-300 is a brighter lens of course. The FT 70-300 is sharp but focusing is slow and in bright and contrasty conditions it is susceptible to ghosting. None of this afflicts the 75-300.

Thanks Ian. The Mk I was too expensive for what it was & the Panasonic lens was looking like it might be the way to go, but some were saying the Olympus was sharper at 300mm, so when the Mk II was announced it looked like the better way to go (even though it isn't quite as bright, but going on the E-M5 is better than the earlier PENs). I know you did the comparison of lenses on 4/3's User & can check those images again if I want. I was pleased at the price announced & will get it as soon as I can now. I was also pleased with the price I got the 60mm macro lens which also had a 20% cash back over summer. A great deal!

A very good change in diguise! Even her eyebrows are so naturally dark in her dark hair change. Either way, she looks nice!

Here's a try, but taken with a trusty - if not all that sharp - mju1030SW - I couldn't face carting the e-3 around and can't afford an OM-D (yet). Shame Jane's put her cardy on!

First of all, I'm sorry to go off topic to this thread again....

But I'm pleased to say I've pre-ordered this lens now!, at 10% off RRP for $539 & should have it by the end of the month (hopefully).
