Re: Pixmania

I have purchased cameras from Pixmania, back in 2003 and 2005 and it was a good experience. You get a user manual in French but I do not really look at this is being an issue.

@Ringneck: On a side note, this German retailer (established in 1920) seems so have attractive price tag for E5. 1360€ would approximate 1070£. I checked and the feedback from Swedish customers is positive, three days delivery. The only negative comment is that the webshop is in German only...

Thanks Tordan for the information.....I will bear it in mind.
Cannot act yet as the promised funds have not arrived yet... they are so late I have missed out on the great bargains that have been on here recently.

Re: Pixmania

The mother in law bought if I remember correctly a monitor from pixmania several years ago which was DOA. She had quite a lot of difficult getting it replaced as they are not UK based.

Re: Pixmania

Why don't you email Ian Kerr (Kerso) at Flash Camera ( flashcamera@live.com )- I have always found his prices to be the lowest of anyone. He doesn't have an E5 on his site at the moment but he can usually manage to get things fairly readily, and delivers promptly.

Re: Pixmania

JESSOPS....I never thought the modern Jessops would beat one of the other suppliers but their E5 is a few pence cheaper than FFordes and it's free delivery.

Contacted Kerso and asked about the E5 and got a reply " is it the new E-M5? ".

Sent tongue in cheek reply and waiting for another from them.

B***** just read some old threads about the possibility of an E7........if I wait to see IF that shows up then I suppose the E5 will be discontinued then.

Re: Pixmania

I was going to buy my E-5 from Pix - having used them for photo prints and purchased many small (under £50) gift items BUT

I felt I would rather deal with Park Cameras if I had any problems Price can be 2 of Quality; Service; Discount - choose 2 of 3 and altough they had "stock" ... they could not deliver for two weeks

Re: Pixmania

I see Amazon have now reduced the price of the E-5 to match that from Pixmania when postage is taken into account (£1109.60.) As Pixmania's price is a 'clearance' special I wonder if we can read anything into this bearing in mind the news of a new body in the pipeline? Probably not but it's fun to speculate.
