Re: Ffordes

Another heads up for Ffordes having just ordered and very promptly received a Sigma 70-200mm that they had in their stock.
Prices for the Oly 50-200mm SWD were unfortunately just to high for me to make that a viable alternative, and with the Sigma at nearly a third less then at least it gives me most of the capabilities that I've been looking for, so what a relief to still find a four thirds mount Sigma at Ffordes. Excellent speedy service at a fair & reasonable price.

Regards
Chris

Re: Ffordes

I also had a good experience with Ffordes recently. I bought some close-up lenses for my Rollei. It turned out that they were two parts of what should have been a three-part set. When I pointed this out to them they refunded me immediately and let me keep the two lenses that they had sent me. Now that's what I call customer service!

Re: Ffordes

I bought a used 18-180 lens from them - on arrival I discovered a fault and returned it within the 12 day approval period - refunded (including their delivery charge) without hesitation.

Great service.

Re: Ffordes

I've bought and sold quite a lot of kit from and through Ffordes. I find them very accurate with their condition classification and pricing.
I have more confidence in buying from them than the auction site.
I heartily endorse what everyone else has said.

Re: Ffordes

I've been dealing with Ffordes since they were located in Southend in fact for almost 40 years.
What's more I have never ever had a complaint about them. Fantastic.

Almost 'likewise' John,

My first purchase from them was in 1992, I have called into "The Kirk" on most of my visits to the Highlands. Always a pleasant experiance and Steve and the Staff are very good at "lightening my wallet"

I have nothing but praise for them.

Regards Simon

Re: Ffordes

I recently acquired a brand new (old stock) manual focus Tokina 300mm f/2.8 and a mint x2 Tokina TC from them. First class service on the phone and the kit arrived the next day, perfect
No hesitation in recommending them.

Re: Ffordes

Me too! I have bought, sold and part exchanged a good deal of equipment with Ffordes over the years. Excellent people and a pleasure to deal with.

In 2012 I bought from them:

E5 Body, E-P2/17mm/VF2 kit

Commission sale by Ffordes:

Pana 14-140 and 14-42
.
P/Ex with Ffordes:

G2 body for Oly 12-50.

Back in film days I asked them to sell a Minox 35GTE, which I had not used for some time. They found a fault with it, but at my request the sent it for repair and deducted the cost from the sale.

I always use them if they have what I want.

Re: Ffordes

Hi All,

I also like to praise people who do good..... I recently bought an Olympus E-620 and HLD-5 Grip the condition is stunning and I am over the moon.

Two batteries came with the camera an original Olympus and an aftermarket one, that one was faulty. I sent an Email and the following day a replacement Olympus battery arrived.

Great service and that spared me to buy from them an Olympus Zuiko digital 9-18 ED F4-F5.6

KR,
Thomas Westhead.

Re: Ffordes

I recommend selling through them too. As a dealer, they command higher prices than you might get through private auctions and, even after the commission, you can still do pretty well with minimal hassle. I sold my Panasonic LC1 that way and got more than I originally paid for it!

Re: Ffordes

I used them quite recently for some old OM System items. No problems and their website is easy to use with good descriptions.

I bought a used (v light at that) Panasonic 14-45 from them a while back. Nice people to deal with, competitive pricing, and very fast delivery.

Re: Ffordes

Recently bought my Mamiya 645, wlf and lens, arrived better than I expected in all original boxes with instructions. I was very chuffed.
