Big Norman

Found this website: http://www.bignorman.com/ which has some good prices and interestingly has E450 and E620 kits. Don't know about their reliability though.

Re: Big Norman

Seems to be based in Gibraltar, so the usual potential problems with grey imports and/or import duty/VAT. See http://www.ephotozine.com/forums/topic/bignorman-93171

Re: Big Norman

His m4/3 prices can easily be bettered from genuine UK suppliers.

Re: Big Norman

This is from his website -

Not sure how he can avoid import duties from HMRC.

Being curious by nature, I compared his price for a top selling entry level DSLR against the best deal in the UK - and it was exactly the same.

Presumably the same way that B&H in New York do - by prepaying them. In the case of B&H, they give EU customers the option of prepayment or payment on import. I assume that BigNorman does the prepayment sight unseen.

7dayshop in Guernsey also makes the prepayment for any shipment over 17 (although if they can split your order into separate shipmets below the threshold, they do so - I suspect that is breaking not just the spirit bust also the letter of the customs regulations.
