Brent Geese in formation

The dog and I went for a walk....OK I know this is an old line.

Lots of geese etc in the estuary and thought I'd try a sequence so here it is below. Incidentally, the day was dull & overcast which did not help.

Formation flight

Preparing to land

Touchdown

Landed

Kind regards

Thanks Barrie

The lack of sunshine affected the amount of detail as the colours were somewhat toned down.

Went out today again to try and repeat the shots, good sunshine Tide was in and the birds had moved inland

Oh well, another day another dollar.

Cheers

That's a jolly good sequence of shots, I'm impressed. It might have been dull and dark, but the camera did the business.

Have you any idea what the white things are in the background of the last shot? They seem too big to be bullrushes.

Thanks Ellie I had to apply a lot of PP as well to brighten things up a bit. No doubt in the right hands they would come out better as I am a 1st grade novice in PP.

The images have been cropped but the birds in the background are a mixture of gulls, ducks and waders.

Kind regards

PeterD
