It's not the only lens with this nickname but I think it's the only Olympus one.

Yes that lens has the same nickname, and is I think somewhat better known by it.

Nicknames have a habit of being picked up & used for other things, but still they can be fun.

Among my lenses I have a 'yogurt pot' (The plastic Cosina 100mm/3.5 macro) & the 'Bigmos' (Sigma 150-500 OS) several 'nifty fifties' and no doubt a few more.

No, as I stated its the 150-500 OS, There are many sigma lenses with nicknames most of them are more than I can afford, sometimes vastly so like the Sigmonster IIRC.

Heres a list I've just grabbed of the net:

Canon 50 f/1.8 - Nifty Fifty
Canon MP-E 65 - Magic Mole
Canon 85 f/1.2 L - Keg
Canon 16-35 f/2.8 L - Coke Bottle
Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L - Brick
Canon EF-S 55-250 IS - Nifty Two-Fifty
Canon 80-200 f/2.8 L - Magic Drainpipe
Canon 100-400 L - The Dust Pump
Sigma 4.5mm Fisheye - Fishma
Sigma 10-20 - Wigma
Sigma 12-24 - Popeye
Sigma 50-500 - Bigma
Sigma 150-500 OS - Bigmos
Sigma 300-800 - Sigmonster
Sigma 200-500 - Sigzilla
Sigma 150 Macro - Bugma
Sigma 24-70 HSM - Brickma
Canon 40mm f/2.8 - "Pancake"
Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 "Short Stack"

Quite a few there I've not heard before, and a few are IMO more universal for the type.

But do you have the "Coke can" eh?
(Some Minolta zoom I was researching one time...)

Whoa!
I win a prize, my lens isn't on Petrochemist's list.

Edit2 : apologies for shitting up Freewheeler's request thread even more.
