Half ar-ed email from Olympus

Anyone else received an email from Olympus that they perhaps let off a bit early? Tempting me to upgrade to a camera I already have and telling me about a new product, and I quote...

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet numquam.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua. At vero eos et accusam et justo duo dolores et ea rebum. Stet clita kasd gubergren, no sea takimata sanctus est Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.
"

For those not fluent in Latin the new product can see in the dark.

Re: Half ar-ed email from Olympus

Yes I received it too. I think they were adapting an earlier email for the E-M1 Mk2 and pressed the wrong button. I hope they haven't updated the camera's menus to Latin.

Re: Half ar-ed email from Olympus

It's a piece of text used as a placeholder, to be replaced at a later date when the document is closer to completion.
I'm guessing someone was preparing a mailshot and sent it too soon.
This is why I never put anything in the "To" field until I'm sure I want to send an email, particularly if the content may be contentious.
I comes up in some programs when you insert a text box, so there is some random typing in the box.

I got it too, even the Subject started with “[TEST...”. Pretty poor show really from a top tier company.

Yes, I've met it many times in text processing software demonstrations.

Children in charge of the sweetie shop indeed.

It could be a lot worse though.

Yes. Let's hope that "attention to detail" is a lot stronger in their camera production!

Re: Half ar-ed email from Olympus

I did get the email; Olympus are not ignoring me. I won't let on that I am not the target demographic for this camera.

It would also appear that they can't quite get the pseudo-latin correct.
