Lens firmware updater not displaying name of lens

Had a bit of time on my hands so thought I'd check and update
firmware on my lenses. All went to plan, however, 3 lenses didn't display their names in the Olympus updater software...

30mm f3.5 Macro
50mm f1.2 PRO
75-300mm MkII

Anyone else noticed this? Wonder if it's anything to worry about? The lenses seem to be working OK!

Thanks in advance

Mark

There is no Firmware Update listed for those lenses:

Re: Lens firmware updater not displaying name of lens

I realise that but in the field where it states the lens name, it just lists ---

Is that normal? I'm sure the 17mm f1.8 had no updates available but it showed as a 17mm f1.8!

Re: Lens firmware updater not displaying name of lens

Sorry, I should have made it clear that I was originally updating the EM1 Mk2 FW and decided to connect each lens to see if there were updates available. None of the lenses I own needed updating, but the 3 listed above were not recognised by name in the OLY updater software.

This is a normal procedure to all brand new Olympus lens, unfortunately the name will only start to appear once they release a firmware update to it otherwise it will stay blank in the software. That's the way Olympus always has treated new lens, they still work fine and have no problem whatsoever, you will have to wait for an update in order to get the name printed in the software.

Hope this helps

Thank you, that explains it. As I mentioned, it's not a problem but just thought I'd ask.
