E510 40-150 Zuiko kit lens.

The auto focus on my 40-150 zuiko lens will not auto focus! It was fine the last time I used it (last week) it has not been knocked or dropped and is always put back in bag after use, Has anyone any ideas? I did a factory reset today and it's still the same,
Thanks in advance for any help, Paul.

Check that you haven't accidentally set the body to manual focus. Clean the electrical contacts on both body and lens with a cotton bud. Do you have other lenses and are they focussing okay?

Thanks for the reply John, The body is set to Auto, and my 14-42 lens works normally in Auto focuss. What product do you clean the contacts on the lens with?
Thanks Paul.

Personally I've never needed more than a dry cotton bud, but this link seems to offer good advice: https://digital-cameras.wonderhowto....s-dslr-334500/

I hope it solves your problem, Paul, let me know how it goes. Meanwhile, does anyone else have any suggestions?

I carried out the instructions word for word but still no joy I'm afraid.
Regards Paul.

Re: E510 40-150 Zuiko kit lens.

Unfortunately, unless anyone else has other ideas, it is most likely a fault developed within the lens.
