A few images from Switzerland (bandwidth alert)

A couple of weeks amid stunning scenery earlier last month.

Brienz

Brienzersee, all the lakes seem to be this wonderful colour resulting partially from glacier melt water

A common but awe inspiring site

Engelberg valley panorama

The fast flowing river running down the Engelberg valley

Lucerne

From Mount Titlis (over 10,000 feet) panorama looking south into the Alps

And looking north towards Lucerne

Lake Trübsee (5,700 feet above sea level), can also been seen in the bottom left of the panorama above

Mountain flower

Mountain cattle

Sorry about the image excess.
I hope you like them

No problems about the "image excess", each is a stunner, Huw.

+ You are certainly getting your money's worth out of the EM-1.

Pretty much a postcard everyone. Your images are almost as good as a holiday Huw, thanks for posting so many. Those panoramas are stunning on a big monitor.

Re: A few images from Switzerland (bandwidth alert)

I wouldn't want to go there, I wouldn't want to go there, I wouldn't want to go there - keep telling myself - I wouldn't want to go there!

Don't show any more, Huw, I'm jealous enough already.

Only kidding, more please!

Re: A few images from Switzerland (bandwidth alert)

Can only reiterate all of the above.

Have had an invite to go there - Switzerland - for the last two years which I haven't taken up due to health issues. After seeing these, I reckon I'm going to have to make a real effort to go.

Thanks for sharing these and even though I'm green with envy, they have been a joy to look at.

Thanks Mark, glad you like them
I took both the E-M5 and E-M1 with me but yes you're right I used the E-M1 more often.

I would thoroughly recommend the trip, to be honest photographs struggle to do it justice.

Thanks Bill, a small country but the topography means it can take some time to get from A to B which has tendency to make it feel just a bit larger

By the way sorry for the delayed response to everyones comments!

Re: A few images from Switzerland (bandwidth alert)

A few more....

Trübsee from a different perspective

The (rotating) cable car to the top.

The wonderfully well kept graveyard at Grindelwald (7.5 mm fisheye).
All the Swiss graveyards we came across seemed to have similar attention lavished on them which was very touching

More stunning views Huw and a rotating cable car never seen one of them before, very clever.

Wow! Excellent images of a beautiful country Huw. Those panoramas are incredible, the Mount Titlis shot brought on a little vertigo!
