At least there's a rough date for the 40-150. Licking my lips at the 7-14!

Great news but I feel small may not feature in pricing.

Anybody care to hazard a guess at just how big and expensive a 300mm 1.4 Pro lens is likely to be?

indeed - but then it could also be argued it's been too long to hear the announcement too!

as I have always believed that 300/4 made the most sense for the m43 I obviously welcome that, but hope they don't add OIS and the associated bulk and cost.

there's now also practical scope for a 1.4x with that and the 40-150/2.8

Here's a guess at a f/4 300mm

About £1200 that one.

So I'm expecting the Oly version to be around £2K.

Ian, that's just not fair showing us something we can"t have! Can"t see a focus limiter switch on the 300, hope there will be one as it is almost essential for BIF.

Re: Two additional Olympus M.ZUIKO PRO lenses to launch in 2015

Ooohhhh, dribble, drool...........

Judging by the family resemblance to the 12-40/2.8, which is quite different from the other m43 lenses, it looks as if this lot have been in gestation for a little while. For me, the exciting prospect is the 40-150 but I can see why these new ones will be very attractive.

I wonder what else is further up the pipe? (*)

Forget the idea of small (in price) though.

At least there is a bit of time to first have some money available & secondly, to space out the expenditure to not cause an immediate divorce. I have to break these purchases gently to my wife & hope I can get some decent (musical) instrument sales at the time for the cash (it all goes through the books too, so I pay my tax). I want the 40-150 (f2.8) lens first & then we'll see what I might come by next. We'll see.
