E330. First for me.

My beloved e300 having just died after 58,968 actuations , I have been considering a replacement as a second camera to my E-1.
I spotted an E-330 on e-bay @ £4.46 with just over one day to go, and only
3,119 actuations on board. This camera had slipped past my attention entirely, I just thought it was an updated E-300.
Thanks to you guys on here, I decided to put in a bid and finally got it for £42.21.
It has now arrived and is like brand new. Looking forward to getting enough light to go out and practise.
So thanks Guys for pointing the way.

Still have the E-300 if anyone wants one for spares. New card door recently fitted by moi

Will the live view work with my Zuiko 55mm f1.2 and extension tube?

I have had this for umteen years, it was the one lens I kept ( along with one OM2N ) that I kept when I went digi a few years ago.
I have not been able to use it properly on the E-1/E-300 as my eyesight is not good enough to fine focus any more. this lens was one of the main reasons I bought the E-330. As soon as I read that Liveview B had 10x magnification, a little light went on. Perhaps now I can really enjoy this lens again.

Above is a good video explaining how to adjust the diopter in the cameras viewfinder. I use manual lenses all the time, and was finding most shots were out of focuse when using large appertures.(i too have bad eaysight) The above video helped alot. Have fun with your bargain camera, and post some shots with the 55mm f1.2 i'd love to see some.

Thanks for that, Steve, clear and interesting, but, as all glasses wearers know, "Where to put them whilst you photograph?"

In the case of quick shots, mine have finished in some interesting places at times, and have been lost on numerous occasions because i wander off with the camera, leaving glasses behind. Once found them hooked through a barbed wire fence

Wow, what a bargain! The E330 was and still is a fantastic camera.

Re: E330. First for me.

It's always nice when older cameras find a loving home.

I have crappy eyesight, too, but have found the VA-1 right angle viewfinder very helpful for focusing (2X magnification). Unfortunately, it cost me nearly as much as my used e-510. But it's been a great help.
