ORF files and CS3

"I'm considering buying photoshop CS3 for editing etc. Up til now I have only used photoshop elements. However, this does not support olympus raw file format. I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not CS3 supports ORF files?"

This question has been posted on the RPS forum and I replied saying that I use elements with no problem. Can I ask anybody who uses CS3 if there is a problem with ORF files. Will she have to download an update?

Re: ORF files and CS3

Yes, CS3 supports ORF files. It is actually Adobe Camera Raw that does the conversion for both CS3 and Bridge.

The ORF format varies from camera to camera. For an E-3 you need Camera Raw v 4.3.1 or higher.

There is currently a public beta Camera Raw version 4.5 for Olympus 420 and 520 so a general release can not be far away.

Do you have a URL for the beta? I prefer PS raw pocessing over Oly Master and have had to use Master since buying a 520
