3:45AM Planet Earth

Why was I up at that hour shooting a moonscape? ... well may you ask
The full moon gets to me like that, but just to assure you that I'm not a sonambulant lunatic, the scene is of Storm Bay, Tasmania
as seen from the bed in which I found myself last night. Taken with the E-PL3 + 12-60mm braced against the sundeck railing - (settings not quite right )

Yes a very nice unusual shot. Really like that one. Any chance of a few more Tasmainia shots in the daylight. Often wondered what it was like.

Was that an early start? Or a late finish? Well worth it, either way

Very beautiful scene and well captured. Love the sky!. Maybe a little foreground and RHS crop will emphasize that beautiful sky even more.

I like it.
Just as long as you weren't howling at it.

Yes Phill, I will be posting more consecutively over the next few days as time permits - I am still in Tasmania on vacation until next week and don't want to spend all my time editing when I should be out there shooting!

It was a case of Filiae Lunae somnus interruptus as the Romans used to say! Thank you, dJE.

I pondered over cropping it as you suggest but decided at the time that it would displace the moon from its 1/3rds position. However, I think you are right, the crop would add emphasis to the sky.

My days of howling (wolf whistling) are long gone, Duncan - which is not to say that I have altogether lost the ability to appreciate beauty when it comes my way.
