Having taken a copy and had a play last night I am tending back to this opinion... I think your processing was fine...

Ignore this, I posted in error (intended for another thread) and deleted the text.

It has two points of interest the man with the dog and the kid...I would photoshop out the kid.

Re: Is it street or something else, and is it any good?

Afraid I disagree, in the original post Zuiko said:

"The thing that attracted me in particular to this moment was the three main characters, the father, the child and the dog, all looking in different directions which, to my eye, creates a certain tension but at the same time provides balance."

The point of interest is the group of three and the way they interelate, without the child it would just be a "man and a dog on the beach" picture.

Just my opinion.

Re: Is it street or something else, and is it any good?

I definitely prefer the colour version. The black and white version loses a lot of interest for me, whilst the grey day/lack of contrast work better in colour.

The B&W conversion also looks slightly odd to me, as if the image is in 256 colour mode or similar?

Thanks Nigel, I convert to B&W using Silver Efex but do not always get it right!

John, I liked the original colour version, and I have had the same debate when adding keywords to photos.
