New EM-5

I have just bought my daughter a Christmas present, in the form of a new EM-5 body, in silver, for 500!

It was part of a lens/power grip kit, which had been separated to leave only the body, in a damaged cardboard box.

Bargains are out there if you look around and are not in a hurry - when the rumoured EM-5 Mk2 is launched I may buy another Mk2 as a spare.

Re: New EM-5

500 sounds a lot for an EM5 MK 1, if that's what you've purchased. On the other hand it's about the going rate for the Mk2 version. And here's me toying with the purchase of a 30/40 year old FM2 for about the same money - albeit the camera comes with a 50 f/1.4, and both the camera and lens look like new.

Re: New EM-5

It is a Mk.2 body - I doubt if you can still buy a new Mk.1. The EM-5 sells for 900 in the UK, 500 being unheard of.

Yes, the FM2 is fetching good money these days - mine has literally had one film through it, as I have owned it from new, along with my FA - real cameras!
