Good article and what looks like a good lens, except its kinda off-topic given :

"Available fittings Sigma, Canon and Nikon".

Then why whet our appetites with this thread? Or is a 4/3rds option in the offing?

I thought Sigma are coming back with micro 4/3 mount for some of their lenses?

Re: Sigma Corporation announce the new Sigma APO Macro 180mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM

I think the comment that Sigma 'dropped 4/3'rds like a hot potato' is a bit emotive, Sigma have stopped developing 4/3'rds lenses and as the lenses cease to be available in all mounts then they stop being available for 4/3'rds.

But the fact that Sigma are developing lenses for the micro 4/3 market place is encouraging, that brings another supplier into the marketplace for a growing Olympus system.

This lens, of course, is not available in either format. So perhaps an oversite to post this article on 4/3'rds forums.

The heads up about the Sigma that we can't use on our 4/3 cameras led me to the the link for a Sigma 30mm lens that we can use on our micro 4/3 cameras though!

I just wonder why you would need OS on a macro.

For marketing reasons.
