Lens hoods and polarising filters
To usefullyy use a polarising filter it has to be rotated to alter the colour saturation, change the impact of clouds and remove reflections from shiny / reflective items.
However if the lens hood is placed on the lens along with the polarisiing filter it is very difficult to get ones stubby fingers inside the lens hood to rotate the filter. The lenshood for the Fourthirds 50 - 200mm lens has an opening in the lower part of the hood so you can rotate the filter. So this is a call for any solutions to using the polarising filter with a lens hood attached.

Re: Lens hoods and polarising filters
That was a good feature of the 50-200 and you'd think they'd do something similar for other lenses.

Re: Lens hoods and polarising filters
There are similar openings on several of my Pentax hoods. A very useful feature well worth the minimal extra cost in manufacture IMO.

Re: Lens hoods and polarising filters
I have just discovered on e-Bay a JJC version of the lenshood for the 12-40mm Pro lens.
It has an opening aperture on the side so that the filter can be rotated. I have one on order. See https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JJC-Lens-....c100227.m3827 They also sell lenshoods for the 12-100mm pro lens (but without the opening aperture) Subject to the 12-40mm hood being OK I will get one for the 12-100mm lense and attack the hood with a red hot poker (metal meat skewer) to cut a hole in the hood so I can get a finger in to rotate the filter. I will keep you informed of any progress I make.

Re: Lens hoods and polarising filters
The lenshood with the opening to allow a finger to rotate the polarising filter on a 12 - 40mm Pro lens has arrived. It fits and the hole in the lenshood does allow one to rotate the filter.
The lenshood looks solid and attaches to the lens OK, I am suficiently impressed with the quality and design that I will now order a JJC lenshood for 12-100 Pro lens and then use a small drill to cut away a window for filter rotating. Comparing the hole in the lenshood for the 50-200 fourthirds zoom lens the access hole in the 12-40mm lenshood is a lot smaller.. Stay tuned....
