From total over-exposure to 'Art'?

That most annoying feeling when the camera was not set at the usual setting for a crucial moment!

My camera was set for last night's night exposure with LED light & this bird was there (juvenile calling to be fed) with this result.

So I thought, lets see what can be extracted from it.

Edited in Capture One.

Probably not artistic at all, but still surprising what detail is still there.

Looks quite artistic to me Ross. As you said it is surprising what detail can be recovered.

Re: From total over-exposure to 'Art'?

All you need to do with that now is to add a few texture layers in Ps, and you’ve got a winner.
It is quite amazing what Capture One can extract from a burned file.

I reckon a mono conversion and some tweaks and it is art

It would take out first prize in a Post-Modern art competition, Ross.

I quite like the ghostly original, a hint of the Turin Shroud about it.
