More raindrops (after Oly Paul)

I have not posted for a while due to illness and lack of motivation but after looking at Oly Pauls raindrop thread with Sweet Pea (and his Comment). I went and had a play with my new G3 body and the Oly 12-60 lens then with the E 30 body and 12- 60 lens; just as a test (artifical rain). Quite happy with the results.

G3

E30

I know it might have been better with same size and angles etc.

Comments welcome

Re: More raindrops (after Oly Paul)

Well done ! I like number 1,3 and 5 and I think the old E-30 seems to perform very well ( agreat comfort as I own one and can't afford to upgrade to E-5 this year)

Re: More raindrops (after Oly Paul)

Sorry to hear you have been unwell Ed, I hope you are now on the mend.

These are all superb but for me number 3 stands out, I notice the exif says 150mm, was this the Sigma?

Re: More raindrops (after Oly Paul)

Very nice Ed and a different take on them using them as a still life.

It's strange how using a plant mister/plant sprayer never seems to give the same effect/type of water drop that nature does, I wonder why that is.

I'm glad you are on the mend and know what its like after a period of illness to get yourself going again.

Re: More raindrops (after Oly Paul)

Thanks Paul, yes feeling much better I am finding the G3 seems to stick to my hand at the moment!! Would like some advice on which is the best selection of lenses to go for (plus IS or not) to use with it. A super little camera but oh for a small Olympus with a built in EVF!

Re: More raindrops (after Oly Paul)

I'll start a new thread then under micro 4/3 I'll call it Lens selection considerations.
See what folk think. You will get lots of ideas.
