Camera cases

I know this may be an odd request but here goes.

Years ago I used to own an OM10, and the camera had a black leather/ette case which was always attached to the camera. To take a photo, the front part of the case flipped down... (I hope you know what I'm talking about )

Can you get these type of cases for the E series cameras? I just want a protector so I can start to carry my camera around more often, I dont always want to carry a bag with extra lenses (or space for them)

Many thanks
Tracey

Re: Camera cases

You mean an Every Ready case. Have a look on the Oly UK website under accrssories and you will see that you can get these cases for some of the dSLRs. Not sure what camera you have but take a look.

Good luck

Re: Camera cases

Thanks for the link Dave, but I cant see one for the E620 in that list. (or am I missing something?)

Now I know what they're called, I might have more luck searching on the internet for one.

Thanks
Tracey

Re: Camera cases

I've seen a third party effort that was being offered on a certain web site beginning with e***. I believe it was made for the e5xx series of camera's. If I remember correctly it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination cheap.

There is an Oly leather type holster case made originally for the e10/20 which takes an e510 complete with the 40-150 f4 lens fitted with ease. It will also take an e3 - albeit a tight squeeze - fitted with the Mk1 40-150 f3.5 lens which is a bit larger than the newer version as mentioned with the e510. The case has a small side pocket just large enough to take either a battery or 2 plastic cases for cf memory cards which I've found very handy from time to time.

In both cases - excuse the pun - the lens hood is connected in the fold-away position.

Re: Camera cases

Try -> this link. They don't do Oly at the minute but the site states that the info might not all be up to date. Worth asking to see what they say about what's in the pipeline.

Re: Camera cases

Thanks for that, I'll email them to see if there are any plans... that looks like some sort of weather protection for the cameras too
