Man with phone in hand.........

..... is almost as bad as 'Man with hand in pocket', but not this time. It's only me taking a selfie (with remote WiFi).

This is at Glenbrook Lagoon in the lower Blue Mountains.

I just had the camera on the picnic table at the left.

Good composition but I won't advice you to do that in most parts of Asia.

A restful and peaceful looking photo. What device did you use to take the shot?

Its amazing how you managed to clone yourself out of the second shot - its as if you were not there.

Thanks. Security? It was fairly quite around there with a only a few people passing. I am still very careful in busier places.

Thanks. The photo was taken with E-M1 Mk II & 12-40 F2.8 lens (23.0 mm, /2.8, ISO200 at 1/800sec) & remotely triggered with my Samsung phone with OIShare app.

Ha ha. Maybe I just blended into the dead wood (I can't help my surname ).

Based on personal experience I’d say he’d be safer to do that in tourist areas in most Asian countries than in most Western European ones

There are exceptions, of course, but in Japan for example you’d be highly likely to get someone grabbing the camera and rushing up to you in case you’d accidentally left it on the table...

...and it sounds like you’ve never been to Barcelona or Madrid!

Rio was a shocker, particularly leading up to the Olympics.
