Macro photography

I have just recevied an Olympus 25mm ext tube. These photos are my first & second try at Macro photography they have been taken with the Olympus 18-180 lens in the first photo. The second photo was taken with the 18-180 lens & the Olympus 25mm ext tube. The lens & ext tube were about 17" away from the tile and the film speed was 800, I used the aperture priority mode and manual focusing both photos were taken at the 180 end of the lens.
I know it is far from perfect, I just wanted to try it out. Over the next few days I am hoping to try out some of my other lens and the 25mm ext tube with different modes on the camera.

Re: Macro photography

Jolly good detail. It'll be interesting to see how the extension tube works with your other lenses.

Have you thought about uploading pictures to the gallery you've got here?

Re: Macro photography

I have decided that macro photography is not for me so I am offering the following items to members of this forum before I list them on Ebay. Please look in the for sale thread.

Re: Macro photography

I know it's none of my business but are you sure that you have fully explored the possibilities? I have been taking macro shots for years and am still learning.

Re: Macro photography

Hi Mike. Your comments are very welcome. I have spent a few days taking macro photos using different lenses with the 25mm ext tube. Being a railway enthusiast and local landscape photographer it's what I like doing, perhaps if I did perceiver I might change my mind, but I have been there and done it.
I just think that it's not for me.
