14-45mm Kit v 14-42mm MK 1

I have a 14-45 kit lens and have seen on Park Cameras that they are offering a 14-42 Mk1 Lens for 90

would this be a big improvement on my existing lens or should i wait it out for a 14-54

I'm a bit confused my this. We are talking 4/3 not micro4/3 aren't we.. So far as I know there is only one version of the 14-42 in 4/3 mount.. so there should be no reason to call it a Mk 1

There are two versions of 14-42 in m4/3 mount however. I wonder if they are referring to the earlier one of them.

As to the 14-45/14-42/14-54 argument, I know the 14-42 is good, and the 14-54 is even better (but larger, heavier and more expensive). I've not had the 14-45 Olympus lens but the slrgear review makes me think it's not quite as sharp as the other two.

I would say this wouldn't I - 'cos I am planning to sell my 4/3 mount 14-42 quite a but cheaper than 90 PM me if you might be interested.
