Second start!

I took the advise and viewed the tutorial on uploading photos. I have a few for here for viewing and comments good (if any) and bad. It's all part of the process to improving. Cropped Flowers were taken today, hand held with E1 and 14-42mm kit lens. Spire was taken withE510 and 14-42 kit lens back in June. Thanks for looking.

Re: Second start!

That's better, we can see them nicely now.

Two nice shots.
The colours and composition in the first one are good. The second one is an interesting perspective which gives the appearance of a rocket nose cone.

Two points which may help further.
Firstly when you re-size and upload shots they loose a little sharpness in the process and it always pays to do a little sharpening before uploading.

I see from the EXIF that the first one was taken with the E-1 with a shutter speed of 1/25 sec. As I don't believe the E-1 has Image Stabilisation you did well with such a low shutter speed for a hand held shot. A higher shutter speed would have given you a sharper result.

Hope this helps, keep up the good work.

Regards.

Re: Second start!

Nice composition in No 1 unfortunately it's suffering from camera shake due to the slow shutter speed used, in No 2 the spire could do with some separation from the background with added contrast and maybe tweaking the colour to make it stand out more.
