Bamburgh Castle
Weather improved a bit this morning. There's even some sunshine now, although at dawn it was still pretty grey and misty - but a big improvement on yesterday:

Re: Bamburgh Castle
Seaweed adds to the foreground nicely. A slightly moody picture, which I like...

Re: Bamburgh Castle
I love the the first but I would rather see the second without the seaweed.
The PL 8 -18 produces nice images Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Re: Bamburgh Castle
Two excellent photographs, all the better for the moody weather. Some clever visual tricks going on too - notice in No1 how the formation of the clouds echoes the patterns of the rippled sand and how, in No2, the shape of the foreground seaweed relates to the distant castle. Add the quality of the early light and hey presto, Paul has created two absolute gems!

Re: Bamburgh Castle
Furthermore, including the seaweed allows you to move the horizon to the centre while maintaining a rule of thirds.
For myself, its the first shot. Pete

Rules, rules rules. There are no rules. The only rule is to ignore the rules.
Excellent photography, Paul. |

Re: Bamburgh Castle
I like the seaweed. Someone in our photographic club has an image of this from a similar viewpoint and angle, but she has a sandcastle instead of seaweed.
