On a secret mission

Agent Z here, on a secret mission.

We have been sent to a strange outer corner of empire, but I can't reveal where that is.

However I can say that some of the customs here are a bit odd.

That looks awfully like Corfe Castle, and yes, rapper dancing is odd.

Llooking forward to the next report!

Re: On a secret mission

As you're in the area, have you tried Hope Matravers? It's a pretty little village. Also Dancing Ledge at Langton Matravers is interesting and scenic. The Early Spider Orchids at Dancing Ledge may be coming out - they are a local speciality and the flower of Dorset.

Re: On a secret mission

A local beer is Dorset Knob.

Hence, go to the bar. "I'd like another knob"

Certainly sir. Large one?

Re: On a secret mission

Are you anywhere near Lytchett Matravers? I camped there in my youth when we were helping support the Dorset Steam Rally. There was a great pub near there called The Worlds End I think, wonder if it's still there 40 yrs on?

Thane for these target locations. I will attempt to infiltrate them disguised as a stranger....

Re: On a secret mission

I believe that Corfe was used as Casterbridge in the excellent BBC adaptation of Hardy's 'The Mayor of Casterbridge' some years ago.

Re: On a secret mission

So, deeper under cover here in no man's land.

I decided to disguise myself with some Hardy Perennials, subject wise. I donned some well worn cliches and ventured out.
