Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Yes I love Siskins but have seen none this year. Glad you have them Ron. I have only once got close to one but the light wasn't as nice as this. I saw the others when you posted them but neglected to say they were great.

Birds rely on garden feeders more and more. Which brings the sparrowhawk round as well We had a fine male sitting on the fence watching our bird bath yesterday. Moved on before I got the camera.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

This one is way too big to get up to the feeder but keeps coming back to get the big seeds the little birds throw out.

Wheatear. One of my favourite migrants, mainly because its the first one to arrive in the spring.
All EM1Mk2 + 300mm + 1.4TC, all handheld.

Lovely shots of Wheatears in a natural setting David. I haven't seen any yet this year, although a few have been arriving locally in the past few days.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Yes lovely shots of a beautiful bird. Nice painting in that first picture it has real potential to pull out the beauty in the bird and stones.

I love to see them but usually need to travel.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Ron a favourite of mine especially when they turn and start to get annoyed with me....perhaps they don't like me or my pictures? Yours looks quite placid and the serene colours help.
