Help with 60mm Macro please

Hello

I have the Zuiko 60mm Macro for use with my EM5 Mk2 but I am clearly doing something wrong as I can not get it to take macro shots.
Could someone walk me through using this lens - gently please. Any help much appreciated.

Phil

Re: Help with 60mm Macro please

The dial on the side of the lens limits the focus distance; you need to twist it towards the 1:1 setting and release to get a true macro shot

Re: Help with 60mm Macro please

- Turn the focus mode on the E-M5II to "MF"
- Twist the dial towards 1:1 and release
- You should see the indicator on the lens move towards 1:1 now
- Now move the camera front/back towards your subject until you get a sharp image in the EVF or flipscreen
- From here you can finetune the focus using the focus ring or again by moving the camera itself front/back

Re: Help with 60mm Macro please

Phil macro is not easy!

The 60mm f2.8 does not make it any easier.

For tripod shooting of non moving subjects MF is fine if a rather slow.

For handheld shooting I recomend the following

I susggest that you set back button focus to the AEL/AFL button see page 110 of the manual linked below
Also set the manual focus to peaking I would avoid magnify. Then get the AF to work pussing the AEL/AFL button and rock very slightly back and forth to get accurate focus the focus peaking wull help here.
