I expect they're smaller and lighter than the Canikon equivalents for full frae or APS-C anyway ...

These lenses, and the more expensive bodies like the E-M1ii and Pen-F are a determined attempt by Olympus to move up-market. They're not alone of course - all the major players are doing exactly the same thing. It's the only place to go given the death of the point & shoot camera.
While I find the PRO branding amusing I object to the freezeproof claim. As they specify -10C there can be days at a time when it doesn't get above that in this part of Ontario. Honestly, if -10C is the best they can do they should drop the freezeproof hype.

My 10 year old E-410 must be tougher than the PRO stuff as I've used it at -20C.

There are no FF/APSC echivalents for those Olympus lenses.

I mean Nikon 100mm F/1.4 which weights 1kg and costs 2000$ has similar glass as Olympus F/1.2 lenses.
When Nikon makes an F/1.8...2.8 lens, the quality of the glass will be lower - similar to Oly 45mm F/1.8.

The rendering of 45mm F/1.2 will be stunning, similar to Nikon 100mm F/1.4.
