Anyone still using their E400 in anger?

Although I'm new here I have been using 4/3 for the past 6 years at least - starting with the E1, then the E400 and E510. I know the E400 never hit the mark for many people, but I find it rather delightful to use, even now. Only pixel-peepers and techno geeks slate it in my view.

So, are there any of you out there still actively using the E400 and enjoying it as much as I am?

Cheers

Geoff

I forgot to add, I'm currently in the process of adding a 25mm pancake to my arsenal, to use mainly on the E400 - what a fabulous combination that should be!

I use an E400 and love it! My first and only DSLR. Been using it 5 years or so now.

Me. Steambuff's hand-me-down. I got some good butterfly piccies and will post a couple when I have downloaded them now I'm home. I like it because it's so light.

Re: Anyone still using their E400 in anger?

I have an e520 (my first DSLR) and e510 (bought as a second body)

I also have a rather nice e20p....totally ancient but still perfectly servicable and produces some excellent results...

I borrowed it from a friend and they've now given it to me...nice one....!

should use it more often esp with the 25mm...but do take it out several times a year...but that E-1....
hope the E-7 is the grown up E-1 as the E 620 is the grown up E-400

Re: Anyone still using their E400 in anger?

I've kept it as a back up. It was my first Olympus DSLR and although I have moved to the OM-D now, I have kept it, not least to make the most of my HG lenses. It is worth more to me than anything i could ever get for it. Sharp and nice colour.

Re: Anyone still using their E400 in anger?

- still use my E-410 (the E-400 wasn't available in North *merica) whenever I want to travel light and don't need a dust and water sealed body. I keep the two kit lenses with it in the back of the car so I've always got a camera with me.

Re: Anyone still using their E400 in anger?

I still use my E400 - it was my first ever DSLR - its what really got me back to photography. I love love love it and will still use it (despite and don't shoot me also using a Canon 5D Mark II)

Its a camera that I love to bring with me on holidays as its just so easy to carry and use. When I die my Oly 400 is being buried with me.

I don't use mine in anger but with much love

Timmy, are you saying you caught all those outstanding bird shots with the Bigma and an e400?

That's impressive.

It seems I may need to give mine some more love.

It's great to hear that you still enjoy using your E-400, after all these years it remains an excellent camera. Don't worry about mentioning using a Canon, we won't hold it against you - it's not that sort of forum (a rarity, I know)!

Re: Anyone still using their E400 in anger?

I got my E-410 after using a 5D and 30D setup for 5 weeks. I now use it as a digital OM body with my manual focus primes.

Re: Anyone still using their E400 in anger?

Used my E410 with 50-200 for time-lapse. I'll post a link when processed.

Here it is
